Monash Performing Arts Centres

Kaiit Live performance landscape

The Brief: Since 2022, Zilla & Brook have been working year-round with MPAC to promote their eclectic mix of shows and programs. Nestled in Monash's Clayton campus, MPAC is home to The Counts jazz club, the 561-seat Alexander Theatre, and the acoustically superb David Li Sound Gallery, all of which have their own programming and identity.

Helmed by Paul Grawbowski, MPAC hosts a mix of commissioned and curated programs with leading Australian and international artists. These have included the New York Based, three-time Grammy winner Joey Alexander, eight-time ARIA winner Joseph Tawadros, beloved Australian singer-songwriter Sarah Blasko, and international jazz darling Nina Ferro. We annually work on the Indian Performing Arts Convention and the popular Family Fiesta program.

The results: Zilla & Brook have achieved coverage in the Herald Sun, The Age, Time Out, Beat, Arts Hub, ABC Radio National, ABC 774, Australian Jazz and Dingo Jazz Magazine. Most recently we had acclaimed jazz vocalist Nina Fero perform live on ABC RN Breakfast with Patricia Karvelas
