Join Alice Zaslavsky and ST. ALi in Praise of VIC. MFWF – August 24-25

Join Alice Zaslavsky, the award-winning Author of ‘In Praise of Veg’ in celebrating Victorian Produce at ST. ALi. Alice is set to bring together some of her favourite faces from Victoria’s food landscape with a vegetable-focused, produce-driven menu designed and hosted in collaboration ST. ALi head chef, Greg McFarland.

Guests will be welcomed with a Triple Pickled Veg Martini by Melbourne vodka distiller, Grainshaker before Alice and Greg dish up a sharing menu of four courses introducing the State’s excellent producers for a casual panel-style chat.  

Confirmed producers include Sallie Jones from Gippsland Jersey, Richard Hawkes from Hawkes Farm, Richard Seymour from Mount Zero Olives and Nick Gorman from Yarra Valley Caviar

These producers contribute to Victoria’s unique food landscape which is famous for some of the best produce in the world.

These are people who’ve done it tough during the pandemic, but have also found new markets directly to our doorsteps and homes, and enriched the menus of restaurants and cafes with their delicious products. From butter to olives, caviar to veg (of course!) these dinners will showcase but a smidge of the talent our state has to offer. Looking forward to introducing diners to some of my friends in food, and making new ones along the way.”
