Entries are now open for the 28th annual Linden Postcard Show, running from Friday 23rd November 2018 until Sunday 10th February 2019.
The much-loved Linden Postcard Show is returning home to St Kilda, having been presented at Domain House for last year’s exhibition, while the beautiful Victorian-era home of Linden New Art underwent a significant renovation by the City of Port Phillip council.
The Linden Postcard Show is a small artwork prize that began in 1990. The long-standing exhibition continues to be an open entry exhibition, so everyone, from hobbyists to established artists, can have the opportunity to see their artworks hanging on the walls of the gallery.
Artists can enter up to 4 works and there is no set theme. The main rule is that all works must measure 8 x 10 inches (20.32 x 25.4cm) exactly, including any framing.
Last year’s first prize of $5000 was awarded to artist Penny Byrne for her artwork Terror Plot Foiled, 2017, mixed media (pictured. Image courtesy of the artist). There are over $10,000 worth of great prizes up for grabs this year, stay-tuned for the announcement of judges and prizes.
