The 2016 Ballarat Beer Festival is jam-packed with family friendly entertainment. On top of this year’s impressive line up of craft brewers, the Ballarat Beer Festival has organised a number of kid-friendly activities, providing families with a fun day out for everyone.
While adults enjoy tasting a selection of the country’s finest craft beverages, kids will also have a reason to be smiling ear-to-ear at this year’s Kids Zone. Farmer Daryl will be providing both an educational and entertaining day out with his animal farm, giving guests a chance to get up close and personal with his adorable piglets, lambs, chickens and more.
Local favourites The Tangled Maze will also be at the festival. Great fun for kids, watch as they weave, twist and crawl their way through the giant Tangled Rope Maze that will test their navigation, balance and logic skills. Parents can relax and drink their brews for at least half an hour while the kids are occupied with this challenging, fun activity.
Local face painting company, Fab2 See Faces, will be providing free face painting all day at the festival. Equipped with paints and brushes, the artists will transform youngsters, and perhaps not so youngsters, into just about anything.
Complete with roving stilt walkers dressed as super heroes and rock chicks, courtesy of Stilt Tainment, the 2016 Ballarat Beer Festival is the place to be this January for adults and children alike.
And of course, all patrons can kick back and enjoy some truly outstanding live music performances by bands such as You Am I, Dallas Crane and The Rechords. The Ballarat Beer Festival will also be hosting some of Melbourne’s best food trucks and brewing demonstrations, ensuring there’s something for absolutely everyone.
Taking place at City Oval on Saturday 16 January 2016, the Ballarat Beer Festival is Victoria’s original and favourite craft beer festival. Now in its fifth year and under new management, the festival encourages people of all ages to come and celebrate Australia’s incredible beer culture.
