Artist Kate Golding wins 2016 Linden Postcard Show

Linden PC Show Prize_CROPThe winner of the 2016 Linden Postcard Show was awarded last Friday night at the launch of the Postcard show to artist Kate Golding. Golding has been awarded $5000 cash, donated by Linden’s generous anonymous donor for her work titled Unlearning Cook, Part One.

This open entry exhibition is for anybody no matter his or her artistic ability or age, and sees hundreds of artists from amateur to professional apply each year, vying for a portion of the $10,000 prize. This year over 800 people submitted a postcard and all of these works are available to purchase from Linden New Art. The exhibition will run until 29 January.

Four new judges made the tricky decision of selecting the Postcard Show winners: Michael Brennan, Acting Artistic Director, La Trobe University Museum of Art, Emma Busowsky Cox, Curator, Castlemaine Art Museum, Pat Mackle, Managing Director, Avant Cards and Adam Harding, Director, Horsham Regional Art Gallery. Visitors are invited to agree or disagree with the judges’ decision by voting for their favourite artist in the People’s Choice Award, proudly supported by Art Guide Australia.
